About WikiTire
WikiTire lists tires that are for sale at the store, for everything from a family sedan to a motorcycle, a trailer, a lawn tractor or a bicycle. For each tire it shows the size, the tread and the pack the listing states, beside the price we read on a given day.
Taken from the listing, as written
The vehicle a tire is sold for, its tread type, its rim diameter, the size printed in the title and whether it comes singly or as a set are copied from the seller's own title. Where a title is silent on one of them the field stays empty. We do not work out a missing size from a photograph, and we do not tell you which tire fits which car: confirm that against your vehicle's own documents or a tire shop before you order.
We have not driven, ridden or mounted any of them
Nobody here has fitted these tires, put miles on them or measured how they grip, wear or ride. So there are no road tests, no star ratings and no remarks on noise or braking, because we could only make them up. Treadwear, traction and temperature grades, load ratings and warranty terms are what the maker and the listing state, and tire safety questions belong with a qualified tire professional.
Prices carry their age
Every price on the site was read from the store and is stamped with the moment of the reading. When a figure grows too old to stand behind, it is taken down instead of left to mislead, and the store's page remains the place where today's amount is confirmed.
Where the money comes from
Purchases made after following a link from WikiTire can earn it a small fee through the Amazon Associates program, and the fee never raises what you pay. How a tire is ranked in a list comes from its price and the filters you pick, and no tire brand can buy a better place.
Our guides compare tires on the sizes, types and prices their listings give, and nothing else. The Learn section explains words such as treadwear, load index and speed rating from what makers, standards bodies and safety agencies publish, and the front page keeps a running count of the tires covered.
